2023 LA pride in the Park Festival

The LA Pride in the Park Festival is an annual event held in Los Angeles, California, to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month. The festival typically features live music performances, food and drink vendors, art exhibits, and various activities that celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community.

With a capacity of 25,000 and a festival area of 32 acres, it is one of the biggest official Pride concerts in the nation. Let’s take a look at briefly first.

The festival is organized by the non-profit organization, Christopher Street West Association, which was founded in 1970 and is one of the oldest and largest LGBTQ+ organizations in the world. The event typically takes place in West Hollywood Park, and attracts thousands of people from all over the world.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the LA Pride in the Park Festival in 2020 was postponed and replaced with virtual events, and the 2021 event was also held virtually. It is unclear at this time what the plans are for the 2022 event, but it’s best to check the Christopher Street West Association’s website or social media pages for updates on the festival

“I can’t wait to headline L.A. Pride in the Park and celebrate the phenomenal LGBTQIA+ community,” said Megan. “This incredible event advocates for diversity, inclusivity and equality, so I’m honoured to perform and have a blast with all of the Hotties in attendance.”

“Mariah Carey and Megan Thee Stallion are the perfect artists to headline L.A. Pride in the Park this year as we expand to two days,” shared Gerald Garth, board president of L.A. Pride. “These empowering and iconic women are sure to take the stage by storm to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and will undoubtedly make this year’s LA Pride in the Park an unforgettable experience.”

The “Savage” rapper gave the fad a technicolor makeover in 2020 to celebrate Pride, flaunting her new appearance at the All Black Lives Matter demonstrations in Hollywood. By drawing attention to the Black LGBTQ+ community, whose members are frequently disproportionately affected by anti-Black racism, oppression, violence, and police brutality, the event aims to raise awareness of this group.

LA Pride is proud to announce its first round of sponsors which include Delta Air Lines, the Official Airline of LA Pride, SVEDKA Vodka, Corona Extra, Corona Hard Seltzer, Toyota Mirai, Coca-Cola, Kim Crawford Wines, Splat Hair Color, Gilead Sciences, ViiV Healthcare, Albertsons/Vons/Pavilions, California Cryobank by CooperSurgical, LADWP, Rare Beauty, Starbucks, One Medical, L.A. Care Health Plan, Nordstrom and AEG, including LA Kings, LA Galaxy, and AEG Presents with many more to be announced over the coming months.

Carey has also long been an ally of the LGBTQ+ community, and in 2016, GLAAD, the world’s LGBT media advocacy organisation, presented the singer with the Ally Award at the 27th Annual GLAAD Media Awards.
