KIA SONET Launch Date , Price and Specifications
KIA motors as part of most ambitious market India is Planning to launch KIA SONET, a sub four metre SUV in the Indian Market. The company has planned to launch the car on September 18th, 2020.As per the sources the customer will have a choice of 6 variants with 11 colour options.
Sonet will be available in engine options of 1.0 litre which produces 120 PS of power combined with a option of 6 iMT & 7 DCT smart Stream Engines. and 1.2 litre engines options which produces 83 PS of power and 172Nm of torque, with 5 speed manual gear transmission. The company will also offer 1.5 litres CRDi engines available in 6 speed Manual Transmission with 100 PS of Power, and first in class of 115 PS of power with 6 speed advance AT.
The GT Line and Tech Line are the two trim levels that make up the majority of Sonet’s variants. The crossover includes features like ventilated front seats, a Bose seven-speaker sound system with subwoofer, a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen head-unit with navigation, live traffic information, and over-the-air map updates, as well as an air purifier with virus protection.
Additionally, it has voice assistance, multi-drive and traction modes, a wireless smartphone charger with cooling function, smart key, UVO Connect, and a suite of 57 functions, including voice start, for both automatic and manual transmissions.
The Sonet will be offered with three engine options. These include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 82 BHP @ 6,300 rpm and 115 Nm @ 4,200 rpm paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 118 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 172 Nm @ 1,500-4,000 rpm. This engine will be offered with either a 6-speed iMT or 7-speed DCT
A 1.5-liter diesel engine with two tuning options will also be available for the Sonet. The lower-spec engine has a 6-speed manual transmission and puts out 99 BHP at 4,000 rpm and 240 Nm at 1,500–2,750 rpm. The engine with the higher specification has a variable geometry turbocharger. With a 6-speed automatic transmission, it generates 250 Nm at 1,500–2,750 rpm and 113 BHP at 4,000 rpm.
Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill-start assist control, vehicle stability management, brake assist and more.
The Sonet made its global debut on August 7 and Kia started accepting bookings in India on August 20.

The car will also be available in Dual Colour options like Red with Aurora Black Pearl, Beige Gold with Aurora Black Pearl, and Glacier White Pearl with Aurora Black Pearl.
Currently Booking of the car has been opened at a price of Rs. 25,000 only.
