Tata Motors Sales outnumbered Hyundai in December, Now the second largest car seller in the Market.

Tata Motors, a renowned car manufacturer in India has been ranked second next to Suzuki.

This is for the first time in the decade where they have outnumbered and managed to sell more cars than Hyundai Motor Co. of South Korea.

As per the sources, the sales figure of Tata Motors stood at 35,299 while last year sales were close to 24,000 only. The recent development and a drastic transformation in terms of Quality, Model and Safety features of the cars have been one of the key factors which have led to the good sales.

Though there were a lot of discrepancies regarding after-sale services, the company has been continuously improving in all aspects for a few years.

Some of the new updated and competitive models like Harrier, Nexon, Altroz, and Newly Launched have shown very encouraging sales figures in the current market.

In December, Tata Motors overtook Hyundai Motor India to take over as the nation’s second-largest automaker. Tata Motors reported total domestic sales of 66,307 units, while Hyundai Motor India reported sales of 48,933 units. Maruti Suzuki, meanwhile, kept first place by selling 1,30,869 cars overall in December.

Domestic sales for Tata Motors increased by 24% year over year from 53,430 units sold in the same month last year. On the other hand, as opposed to 66,750 units in December 2020, Hyundai Motor India reported a decrease of 26.6% in total wholesales in December at 48,933 units.

“Despite experiencing a shortage in production as a result of the ongoing semi-conductor crisis, Tata Motors PV business growth path continued and reached several new milestones throughout the quarter. Highest quarterly and monthly sales in a decade were recorded with 99,002 units sold in Q3 FY22 (up 44% from Q3 FY21) and 35,299 units sold in Dec’21 (up 50% from Dec’20).
